ZIM Network INSTANT

On April 1st, 2020 the international network for the development of patient-friendly, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic methods for the treatment of common diseases (INSTANT) started its first phase at the research campus STIMULATE under the direction of the Zentrum für Produkt-, Verfahrens- und Prozessinnovation GmbH (ZPVP).

The aim of this network is to provide diagnostic procedures that are safer and gentler for patients and physicians, thereby reducing treatment times and increasing the success of therapy. This is to be achieved through cooperation between small and medium-sized companies and application-oriented research institutions. The network focuses on the following areas:

• Patient-specific simulation and image analysis methods for innovative diagnostics and therapy,
• Innovative hardware and software to support computer tomographic examinations and interventions
• Patient-friendly solutions for fast and comfortable intervention scenarios under imaging.

INSTANT was founded in 2020 with 8 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and 3 research institutes (FE), each with several institutes and 5 foreign partners, and is growing steadily (currently the network already includes 12 SMEs, 3 FE and 5 foreign partners).
