CV:
Prof. Dr. Jörn Wochnowski studied chemistry and physics at the University of Hamburg. He finished his studies with a diploma in surface chemistry – and physics in 2004.
Afterwards he worked with a PhD-scholarship granted by the Graduate School Design and Characterisation of Functional Materials of the DFG (German research funding organisation).
His PhD thesis deals with modern surface technology related to the chemical gas phase deposition of organometallic compunds.
It was finished in 2007 with honours. Afterwards he worked as a senior scientist at the Institute of Inorganic an Applied Chemistry at the University of Hamburg.
In 2011 Mr. Wochnowski was appointed as professor of General and Inorganic Chemsitry at the Applied University of Luebeck.
His scientific research is focused on applied topics of surface technologies induced by different chemical compounds e.g. for optical purposes.
Prof. Wochnowski is inventor of more than 20 (inter)national patents.
