Am 31.08.2022 schloss Herrn Vuthea Chheang sein Dissertationsvorhaben erfolgreich mit einem hervorragenden Promotionskolloquium ab. Der Titel seiner Dissertationsschrift lautet “Collaborative Virtual Reality for Laparoscopic Liver Surgery Training and Planning”.
Die Forschungsarbeiten für seine Dissertation führte Herr Vuthea Chheang am Institut für Simulation und Graphik an der Fakultät für Informatik der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg und am Forschungscampus STIMULATE in Betreuung von Herrn Prof. Fr. Christian Hansen durch. Das Promotionskolloquium wurde durch Herrn Prof. Dr. Bernhard Preim (FIN, Visualization), Herrn Prof. Dr. Bernhard Jung (TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Institut für Informatik), Herrn Prof. Dr. Nigel John (University of Chester, Computer Science) begutachtet, unter dem Vorsitz von Herrn Prof. Dr. Klaus Turowski (FIN, Wirtschaftsinformatik) mit dem Mitglied Frau Prof. Dr. Jana Dittmann (FIN, Mulitmedia & Security) und dem Ersatzmitglied Herr Prof. Dr. Gunter Saake (FIN, Datenbanken & Software Engineering).

Successful doctoral defence of Vuthea Chheang
On 31th August 2022, Mr. Vuthea Chheang successfully completed his dissertation project with an excellent doctoral colloquium. The title of his dissertation thesis is "Collaborative Virtual Reality for Laparoscopic Liver Surgery Training and Planning".
Mr. Vuthea Chheang conducted the research for his dissertation at the Institute of Simulation and Graphics at the Faculty of Computer Science of Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and at the research campus STIMULATE under the supervision of Prof. Fr. Christian Hansen. The PhD colloquium was reviewed by Prof. Dr. Bernhard Preim (FIN, Visualization), Prof. Dr. Bernhard Jung (TU Bergakademie Freiberg, Institute of Computer Science), Prof. Dr. Nigel John (University of Chester, Computer Science), chaired by Prof. Dr. Klaus Turowski (FIN, Business Informatics) with the member Prof. Dr. Jana Dittmann (FIN, Mulitmedia & Security) and the substitute member Prof. Dr. Gunter Saake (FIN, Databases & Software Engineering).
